Programs Overview

Gateway Society provides a full range of services and programs. These include short term residential service in the Treatment Centre (Main Residence) and long term residential support in staffed resources and family care homes. Staffed resources are both licensed and unlicensed. There are also day programs for adults. As well, two teams in different geographical regions of the province provide behavioural support services to children with autism and other pervasive development disorders, up to age nineteen.

The Society contracts for almost all its services with one provincial ministry, Community Living British Columbia.

The children cared for by Gateway Society benefit from a creative educational service from the Ministry of Education funded Provincial Resource Program, which is closely allied to Gateway services.

A major goal of the Society is to build on the expertise within our programs and expand training programs and services across the province.
